Namma Bengloor. Namma Kathe.
Every city has a version of itself that outsiders know and a version that actually exists.
The Bangalore outsiders know is traffic, IT corridors and weather everyone brags about. The Bangalore that actually exists is a 500-year-old city. It somehow became the most ambitious place in India without losing its filter coffee, its Kannada roots, its neighborhood chai spots or its ability to surprise you on a Tuesday afternoon in Malleshwaram. Bengloor is about that second city.
Who We Are
Nethra, Sravani and Kaleem the Bengloor team are Bangaloreans. We were born and raised here and are deeply opinionated about this city. We got tired of reading the same recycled content about a place we know is far more interesting than that.

Our Standard
Everything we publish passes through one rule. Would a Bangalorean be proud to share this?
From the Outside
This approach is about aggregating, summarizing and ranking things found on other websites. You package it nicely and call it local content. It is faster and it scales, but it only looks fine if you do not look too closely.
From the Inside and Our Way
Someone actually goes there. They eat the food, walk the neighborhood at the right time of day and understand why a place means what it means to people who have been going there for thirty years.
Every writer here is from this city. Every piece was reported from inside it. We do not have a content calendar built from keyword research. We have Bangaloreans who notice things and write them down before they disappear.
